Foodreview -ROFL – A great fix for your mornings!

Sitting pretty on the busy Law CollegeRoad in Pune, ROFL gives you every reason to make it a great “Rendezvous for food lovers”. Be it a hurried weekday when you are running against time or the relaxed Sunday mornings, ROFL dishes out delicacies with equal fervour.

Ambience: A small cozy eatery , with tables laid out in the front portion of the cafe, to give you a good view of the much talked about law college road housing FTII along its periphery.

When TheBteam was invited  to the cafe, it was beautifully decorated with Balloons , which made a great option since we had a kid with us. So the cafe also makes a great place for kids to hang out. Besides the owner Anuraddha is exceptionally friendly with kids and that is a huge draw for parents.

Food: What better than kicking off your mornings with eggs! So when we were served Spanish , chicken & ham and masala Omelettes, our stomachs were more than content. We particularly liked the chicken& ham omlette as it was loaded with chicken and cheese- certainly something to delve upon! The next round saw delicious veg sandwiches and BBQ chicken sandwiches that were absolutely mind blowing. The veg sandwich encasing the aloo patty was good but what stole our hearts was the bbq chicken sandwich with copious amounts of chicken. This surely is a must try. The coleslaw sandwich could have been better with a little more powerful flavours.

To break the monotony, the Pancakes with ice cream and honey was a nice surprise. However, the pancakes wernt as great as we had expected it to be. Hence, this could be given a miss.

To help us soak in the flavours, the chef sent us a round of refreshing mocktails. The mango and the pineapple mocktails were the winners.

The Penne Pasta in pink sauce was another gem on the menu. We couldnt stop at just one bite. It was only when we had polished off the entire pasta that we put our spoons down. The Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce lost to this one as the pesto was overpowering. Had it been a little subtle on the flavours, it would have won hands down.

Who can say no to desserts? Not us surely. So we had a gooey chocolatey brownie with ice cream. This certainly was one of the best brownies we have had so far.

We didnt know that there was a surprise waiting for us when the owners brought us a huge cake with a “Thank you Bteam” written on it. We even received quirky coffee mugs that make us thank ROFL every morning for this overwhelming gesture (when I am having coffee in that mug).

All in all a great place for your breakfast fix! A thumbs up from TheBteam.
